The North American Invitational took place in Utah last weekend. This event is one of the highlights of our year and is an incredible opportunity for our athletes to compete against the highest possible level of competition as they continue their development.
We are thrilled to announce that several Atlantis sides earned hardware over the weekend! Leading the way was our U16 Boys Teal side, competing in Tier 1, who went 5-1 on the weekend to earn a second place finish in their division. Right behind them were the U18 Girls Elite, U14 Boys Tier 1, and U14 Boys Tier 2 who combined to go 13-5 on the weekend and bring home matching third place finishes.
Narrowly missing out on a top 3 finish was our U16 Boys side known as the “U15 Academy” who went 4-2 on the weekend for a fourth place finish. Playing together as U15 players against slightly older competition is going to serve these players extremely well in the 2024-2025 cycle as they look to finish off those key matches and bring home the medals.
Other teams bringing home hardware include the U16 Boys Tier 2 side who won the Bowl in their division and the U18 Boys Elite who earned a share of the Shield thanks, in part, to a barn burner 33-33 draw with Highland Rugby.
Our U16 Girls were close to bringing home the bowl in their division while the U18 Boys Open side were runners-up for the vase. Our U14 Girls made it to the Plate Quarterfinals, and the U23 Men overcame a difficult first day to go 2-1 on the final day of competition and finish strong with a solid victory in their final match.
Overall it was a great weekend and we’re proud of the entire Atlantis family!
