Atlantis Rugby is finally back in competitive action this weekend for the first time since Los Angeles Invitational 7s in the winter of 2020! We are sending 4 sides to New York 7s and look forward to seeing success for all of our athletes.
Our High School Open side is being coached by Anne-Marie Lemal Brown assisted by Stacy Mancuso and our High School Premier side is being coached by Kate Flanagan assisted by Lisa Henrich. Our two Women’s Premier (Teal & White) teams are being coached by Tom Feury and Kate Daley assisted by Lauren Shissler and Josie Ziluca will be on hand providing assistance and support to all of the teams as the overall Director of the Atlantis Women’s Program. The staff also includes KJ Feury as medical and Diane Ramage as Manager.
There was no New York 7s tournament in 2020 but in 2019 Atlantis won the Women’s Premier bracket and the High School Open bracket. Additionally, our High School Premier side won the tournament in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
The 2017 High School teams are pictured above. The elite team in black (look at their left shoulders) won the cup in the Premier Division and the teal team took 2nd in the Open Division. We are excited to see that a couple of the players in that photo will be playing on the Women’s Premier side this year!
