It’s been a busy time with the holidays so apologies for the delay, but we wanted to provide a brief update on the Atlantis 15s Academy to close out 2025. As we posted previously, the 2025 Old North State Invitational saw Atlantis Rugby take 3 sides down to North Carolina and bring home 2 tournament championships with an overall 9-2 record.
We followed that up by travelling to Mount St. Mary’s at the end of November to take on Pittsburgh and Young Glory with our U18 and U16 Boys. The U18 boys lost to Young Glory 19-21 but were able to bounce back with a 62-0 win over Pittsburgh while the U16 boys played a full match against Young Glory and earned a 57-0 victory.
The U18 boys featured the following players:
Ryan Brown
Marco Burns
Rocco Balestriere
Kristian Krawiec
Brandon Zubyk
Jordon Young
Jack Olivo
Danny Francis
Jackson Reilly
Riley Scrogham
Aaron Kelly
Bennett Glock
Tommy Jones
Dom Pecora
Luke Eisenhardt
Matt Lis
Ryan Siler
Deacon Pesce
Sean Lynch
Bryan Henry
Colden Augustine
Chris Imperato
Following the Fall Academy season a total of 8 Atlantis Rugby players were invited to the USA Rugby Boys U18 Winter Camp. They include Marco Burns, Alex Drury, Luke Eisenhardt, Bennett Glock, Josh Gorman, Matt Lis, Deacon Pesce, and Jackson Reilly. We are thrilled to be a part of these players’ journeys, and we hope to see more Atlantis Rugby players follow in their footsteps! As always, we also must give a huge shoutout to the home clubs for putting so much day-to-day effort into developing the players.
For the U16 Boys the roster included:
Carter Augustine
Max Titter
Nick Favato
Levi Boles
Reed Charlesworth
PJ Norcia
Cross Cervellero
Mason Beck
James Burke
RT Ferris
Emery Brader
Jayden Wrigley
Grant Croce
Ryan Ficca
Charlie Fitzgerald
Carter Braun
Caden Staines
Owen Barcaskey
We also have some statistics for the U16 Boys with Grant Croce and Jayden Wrigley each score 2 tries, while PJ Norcia, Mason Beck, Nick Favato, Caden Staines, and Charlie Fitzgerald each scored 1. James Burke added 6 conversions and captained the side along with Mason Beck.
Overall, it was an outstanding year for the Atlantis 15s program with an overall record of 23 wins and 3 losses across all divisions. Our U18 Boys went 9-1, U18 Girls went 5-2, and our U16 Boys went a perfect 9-0 in 2025.
The 15s program began in 2024, and we are now up to a total record of 32 wins, 7 losses, and 1 draw with all of our matches coming against select sides, all-star teams, and regional representative sides. It’s been an impressive run, and once again we cannot thank you all enough for helping to make it happen and we give our thanks and appreciation to all of the players, parents, coaches, referees, admins, and volunteers working to grow the game of rugby!
