Atlantis Rugby 3-0 on Day 1 in Portugal!

Atlantis Rugby was one of the first teams to arrive in Portugal for Lisbon Junior 7s and we had a solid 4-day build-up that included a good mix of focused rugby training as well as the sort of fun team-building excursions (including surf lessons!) that our program has become known for.
The hard work from the players, under the direction of our experienced staff, paid off today with a 3-0 record in pool play!
Starting off the tournament was a 50-0 victory over SG RK03/ ST. PAULI and that was followed up with a 36-0 win against AGRÁRIA + LOUSÃ LITOCAR.
Our final pool play match was against the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union, a very strong side that we have become familiar with through the years at New York and Tropical 7s. We were able to secure a 31-7 victory for a total point differential of +110 on the day.
These results were good enough to see us earn the second seed in the knockout rounds taking place tomorrow where we will have a re-match with Eastern Ontario in the quarterfinals.
